Steel Forgings

When steel is heated to forging temperature, it gets ductile and malleable, allowing it to be shaped to our specifications by applying pressure. Steel Forgings, when done in a correct manner, allows a billet of steel to be permanently moulded without shattering due to its ductility. To heat the steel sufficiently for forging, an induction heating system, forge furnace, or forge oven is required. The heating cycle and the deformation process results in metallurgical recrystallization as well as grain refining. Moreover, Steel Forgings enhances the forged steel product, especially in terms of impact toughness.
